Juaquin Fabela
Pastor, Youth Director, Guidance Counselor, Inspirational/Motivational Speaker
For the last twenty-five years Juaquin Fabela has discipled, mentored, and shared the gospel to thousands of people in desperate need of hope. He has encouraged thousands to start a relationship with Jesus by showing them how to grow in their faith. Juaquin has encouraged students that they are not alone in their struggles, that they belong, and can overcome any obstacle that stands in their way. Through consistent outreach, serving, mentoring, and discipleship the surrounding community achieves a stronger faith, greater self-esteem, and the ability to lead with an unshakable faith going forward in their lives. Juaquin believes that by going outside the church walls, the name of Jesus will transform lives in a powerful way.
Over fifteen years experience counseling high-risk youth and families with extensive knowledge of child and adolescent development gained through community outreach endeavors. Ten years as Youth Director of Relentless Youth at The Firehouse Youth Center. Eight years of organizing outreach efforts for Gifts of Love, providing provision for homeless and their animal companions. Six years direct experience working with Sacramento City Unified School District. Effective communicator with excellent counseling and group facilitation skills, a proactive style of management and exemplary record of working with diverse populations. Accumulated extensive training in intake evaluation, patient assessment, and developing and coordinating long-term training programs in drug identifiers and behaviors in adolescent teens.
CAREER EXPERIENCE: President of Relentless Rescue. Youth Director for Relentless Youth. Licensed Minister through Abundant Life Fellowship School of Ministry. Certified Facilitator through the Parent Project. Performed independent, specialized prevention and intervention counseling (one-on-one and group counseling) for at-risk youth at Sacramento City and placer County Unified School Districts, K-12, with emphasis on consequences, laws, positive options, and available resources. Provided whole family intervention. Worked directly with the Prevention and Intervention Specialists, community based organizations, and school administration to identify and reduce visibility of violent elements on campus. Provided evidence-based anger management services. Developed, planned, and conducted training sessions and presented workshops on gang prevention and intervention to school staff, parents, students, and administrators. Served as a referral agent to outside agencies or programs for parents or students seeking help. Motivational speaker at various student events, assemblies, after school programs, and drug court. Analyzed, prepared and maintained client records; developed reports and spreadsheets to track clients’ statistical data. Co-facilitated student groups with Panacea’s AOD Counselor on the relationship between negative influences, alcohol and other drugs.
